Florence Davis

President, The Starr Foundation

Florence A. Davis has served as the President of The Starr Foundation since 1999. Starr has donated more than $3.7 billion since 1955 in a variety of geographic and programmatic areas, including medical research and healthcare, education, human needs, international relations and public policy, culture, and the environment. Prior to joining the foundation, Ms. Davis practiced law.

She is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of New York University School of Law, a trustee of the New York Botanical Garden, and a director of Starr International Foundation (Switzerland) and the C.V. Starr Disaster Relief Fund.

Ms. Davis graduated from Wellesley College (A.B. 1976, highest honors, Phi Beta Kappa) and New York University School of Law (Root-Tilden Scholar, J.D. 1979).
